The Rockford Park District and Rockford Pubic School District No. 205 seeks to establish service contracts with qualified contractors for Tree Maintenance and Removal Services. All unit price work will be done on an as needed basis and will not exceed $5,000 per project. All tree work shall be carried out within the Rockford Park District geographic limits, which lies within Winnebago County. There are 181 park and facility sites, with total park acreage of 4917.87; as well as numerous facilities including 5 golf courses. All tree work is to be done within the boundaries of Rockford Public Schools, District #205 (RPS 205) which is located in Northern Illinois. RPS 205 covers approximately 165 square miles in Winnebago and Boone Counties and serves 28,800 students with 4 early childhood centers, 21 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 5 high schools, and 6 alternative schools Bid Bond No Bid Bond One year, with four annual renewal options, subject to satisfactory performance as determined by the Districts appointed Maintenance Services Manager. Contract performance will be evaluated annually based on satisfactory service, products, and billing procedures, as well as fairness in renegotiated pricing, up or down, with regard to prevailing market conditions. The District reserves the right to cancel the contract if it is determined that the performance is unsatisfactory. The Rockford Park District will be the sole judge of vendor performance. Unit prices submitted will remain in effect for each twelve (12) month term of the contract. At the time of the contract's annual renewal, increases or decreases, due to economic factors only, will be allowed only upon written approval of the Rockford Park District. Requests for Information (RFI's): In lieu of a Pre-Bid meeting, RFI's will be received. Deadline for RFI's is Wednesday, August 26, 2020 by 12:00 p.m. All RFIs are to be submitted by email to biebrooks@rockfordparkdistrict.org. The removal of trees that are diseased or irreparably damaged trees or trees that constitutes a hazard and does not fall under the purview of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The Rockford Park District reserves the unrestricted right to reject any or all bids/proposals received, to waive or not to waive any informality, or to accept the bid/proposal considered to be in the best interest of the Park District.
