Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

For Multi Use Pathway, Wetlands Trail Boardwalk, and Pavement Rehabilitation Multi Use Pathway, Wetlands Trail Boardwalk, and Shoreline Drive Pavement Rehabilitation. Contractor will provide all services required for the proper construction of the Project. This geotechnical exploration addressed two specific tasks related to the Multi-Use Path project. These tasks and brief descriptions of our understanding of the tasks follows. Wetlands Boardwalk - The wetlands boardwalk will entail a sidewalk/pathway and an elevated boardwalk. The sidewalk/pathway will be a conventional grade supported concrete sidewalk, 6 feet in width, and approximately 200 feet in length. The sidewalk/pathway will extend from the Shoreline Park South Access Road southwest to the beginning of the elevated boardwalk. Beginning at the end of the sidewalk, the elevated boardwalk will extend approximately 900 feet to the southwest to an uncovered gazebo structure. At the gazebo structure, the boardwalk will "branch" off in two directions. One "branch" will be approximately 280 feet in length, and extend east to the shoreline for English Navy Cove. The second branch will be approximately 460 feet in length, and extend west to Colley Cove Drive. The boardwalk and gazebo will be wood frame structures, supported on timber piles, and elevated approximately 6 feet above the wetlands. The gazebo will have a hexagonal plan layout with a maximum plan dimension of approximately 25 feet. The boardwalk will have a width of 6 feet. The timber piles for the boardwalk will be on both sides of the boardwalk, and spaced on centers of 12 feet along the lengths of the boardwalk. Maximum loading conditions for the timber piles are anticipated to be 5 kips in compression, and 500 pounds in lateral/shear. Shoreline Drive Pavement Rehabilitation - It is proposed to rehabilitate approximately 1.3 miles of Shoreline Drive extending from Peakes Point Drive to Sunset Boulevard. Rehabilitation techniques being considered include typical mill/resurface and rip/replace techniques, along with a full depth reclamation technique. Should any of the presented project information be inconsistent with the planned development and construction, we request that you contact us immediately and provide us with the new information. This will allow us the opportunity to review the new information in conjunction with our report, and revise or modify our engineering recommendations accordingly, as needed. No site or project facilities/improvements, other than those described herein, should be designed using the soil information presented in this report. Moreover, UES will not be responsible for the performance of any site improvement so designed and constructed.
