Replacement of the existing Pelletizer Facility (that is at the end of its design life) with the current state of art Pelletizer technology to provide a reliable, robust and long term biosolids/sludge management system for ABTP. The new Pelletizer system must be constructed in a new (optimized) location, to allow continuous operation of the existing Pelletizer facility until the new facility is built, commissioned and fully operational. Identifying the best optimized location for the new Pelletizer is one of the key elements of this assignment. Scope will include a new structure to house the new Pelletizer facilities, with minimum 2 pelletizers with all associated ancillary system + modifications to cake pumping, as required. New odour control facilities to ensure facility has no net increase to offsite odour receptors. New pellet storage silos and truck loading equipment. Provision of a truck weigh scale in the truck loading area. Dual connection of the new Pelletizer to the Electrical power supply at the Seawall and South substations. Provision of standby power facilities. Instrumentation/Control/SCADA/computer network/telecommunication elements. Miscellaneous related additions/upgrades at the existing Pelletizer facility, as required to allow connection of the new Pelletizer system and to achieve a new Pelletizer system that is safe to operate and maintain + all access roads to the new facilities. TIMELINE: Tender for construction is expected spring 2025. Construction start expected summer 2025 with completion expected summer 2028.
