Bids will be received for a single prime contract for Brackney Landslide Area Pipeline Risk Reduction Project Project No. c702002, 504100299, 166-383-20 The Engineer's estimate anticipates that the total bid price will be $10,125,000 and the Contract Time for the completion of all the Work of the Project is 380 days The City of Santa Cruz Water Department (SCWD) developed the Project to improve the reliability of water supply infrastructure for the City of Santa Cruz (City). The Project is realigning a section of the Newell Creek Pipeline (NCP) in an area with known geological hazards to protect it from future landslide and geological movements. The NCP is a critical component of the City's water supply infrastructure that transports water from the Loch Lomond Reservoir to the City's Graham Hill Water Treatment Plant. The Brackney area segment of the NCP has been included in many SCWD risk assessments and is identified in the City's Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Bidder's security shall be in an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, and shall be conditioned to be forfeited to the City in the event that the Bidder, if their bid is accepted, does not execute the Contract for the Project and provide the required bonds, certificates of insurance, and endorsements as required Performance bond, payment bond, and any other bonds required by the Contract Documents shall be issued by a surety on the forms bound in the Contract Documents Technical questions and requests for information related to this Invitation for Bids should be directed to the City designated website above.
