Renovation of a mixed-use development in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Reference number : 1691711 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2023-02-28 Submission sent electronically accepted: No The Ville de Sherbrooke is requesting tenders for the development of the premises of the municipal court of Sherbrooke which will be relocated to 400 rue Marquette in Sherbrooke. The building underwent a curettage of its interior and was decontaminated almost entirely in order to restore it to a state resembling a base building. The works consist more specifically, but not limited to: The layout of the premises in the existing building at 400 rue Marquette in Sherbrooke. Installation of an elevator including: structural works; cutting and demolition of concrete slab sections; demolition and reconstruction of concrete flights of stairs; the installation of structural steel reinforcements (to be fireproofed); excavation and placement of foundations for the elevator shaft. Replacement of doors and windows on the ground floor. Complete replacement of the central ventilation system. Insulation of walls from the inside and leveling of the roof in connection with the lift shaft projecting from the roof. During 2023, the City plans to launch a separate call for tenders to award a contract for repair work on the building envelope at 400 rue Marquette. This work is therefore not part of this call for tenders, except for the project management as described in the following paragraph since it will be carried out simultaneously with that of this contract. For the understanding of the obligations of each of the parties, the contractor of this call for tenders is designated as contractor A while the contractor responsible for carrying out the repair work on the envelope of the building at 400 rue Marquette is referred to as Contractor B. Contractor A will be responsible for the project management of the work covered by this call for tenders and the repair work on the envelope of the building at 400 rue Marquette, but more specifically for: Coordination of its work with that of contractor B. Assume with contractor B the obligations of project management as defined in the Act respecting occupational health and safety. Report in writing to the City of Sherbrooke and to market professionals any intervention and situation that may involve risks to the health and safety of workers that he observes in the work of contractor B and that would be likely to affect the work of his contract. Have and maintain insurance coverage according to the provisions of Chapter 10. Bid Bond 10% is required. Performance and Material Bond 50% is required. Start date : 30 Jun 2023 Duration : 18 Months
