Project no: 17- PR-0044, 231-203-0078-0556, 16756-0 MD This project, located in Baltimore County, is for a water transmission main installation and resurfacing along MD 140 (Reisterstown Road) beginning at Stockdale Avenue and extending south to Pleasant Hill Road. The total project length is approximately 2.64 miles. The work will consist of the following: Fine milling and resurfacing the existing asphalt pavement; Replacing/repairing/cleaning existing inlets and pipes as needed; Water transmission main installation; Replacing/repairing concrete curb and gutter; Upgrading traffic barrier w-beam and traffic barrier end treatments; Upgrading ramps, sidewalks, and driveways to meet current ADA standards; Interconnect and traffic signal modifications; Signing and pavement markings; Maintenance of traffic. The MDOT SHA hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority/ disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, sexual identity, genetic information or disability in consideration for an award. Minority/ Disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. DBE Participation (%) 20.0 On Federally assisted projects, the bidder's attention is called to the Standard Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction Contract Specifications (Executive Order 11246) which is a part of the contract proposal. All of these activities shall be done in accordance with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, as amended. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable. Each contract will contain a specific participation goal. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
