The Contractor shall furnish all materials required and shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, machinery, superintendence and all else required to complete all construction according to the "Proposal" and as shown on the plans for the contract. The work covered under this contract includes the construction of apron improvements as shown on the plans and all appurtenances and related items. The completion of the contract must be within 60 calendar days for the Base Bid and Alternate, if awarded, from the date that the Notice to Proceed is issued to complete the project. Liquidated Damages shall be $500 per calendar day. An acceptable bid bond, cashier's check or certified check payable to the CIAA, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid price, shall be submitted with each bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds. Bidders are advised that Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price, will be required. On any bid submitted in the amount of $50,000 or more, the Contractor shall certify that he is licensed under Louisiana Revised Statute 37:2150-2164 and show his license number on the bid and on the envelope. Bidders must be licensed in the following category: Highway, Street and Bridge Construction. The licensee shall not be permitted to bid or perform any type or types of work not included in the classification under which his license was issued. Title VI Solicitation Notice: The Chennault International Airport Authority, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Bids may be held by the CIAA for a period of one hundred and twenty (60) calendar days after the date and hour set for the opening.
