Renovation of a municipal facility in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Expansion of the Saskatoon Light and Power facility. The main deficiency that needs to be addressed in the building's ability to accommodate the current and future number of staff using the facility. Capacity issues have been identified for the staff locker rooms, equipment storage garage, and office space. In addition to the capacity issue, a recent audit provided recommendations on security improvements that would bring the building in line with similar Canadian electrical utility facilities. A renovation of this facility must also provide an opportunity to eliminate the need for the off-site storage and training facility currently located at 619 Avenue N South. There are other opportunities for improvements to yard storage, office layout, and general building upgrades that will need to be considered. TIMELINE: The Consultant has completed information gathering, facility programming, pre-design report, and conceptual design alternatives. Project is currently not included in the owner's current capital plans. No design or construction is expected to ensue in the near future. Coverage of this report is discontinued.
