In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, re-constructing the existing recreation trail at Casa Verde and installing other intersection and traffic signal improvements at the intersection of Del Monte and Casa Verde. The work shall include, but not be limited to, removing existing pavement; new pavement for the realigned bicycle trail; modifying median islands; reconstructing curb returns to allow joint pedestrian and bicycle traffic; modifying traffic signals to accommodate dedicated left-turn phasing on Casa Verde and a Leading Pedestrian Interval (LPI), realigned crosswalks and lane geometry modifications; installing storm drain improvements; and new streetlighting. The Contractor, at the time of signing and executing the contract, shall execute and file with the City a performance bond to the satisfaction and approval of said City, in a sum of not less than one hundred percent (100%) No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety (90) days from the Bid Opening Date, which time shall be used by the City for reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids as the best interests of the City may dictate and, to the extent permitted by law, waive any irregularity in any bid. If there is any reason for believing that collusion exists among the bidders, the City may reject any or all bids
