Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Concord, North Carolina. Design plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

This project includes renovations to Hartsell Recreation Center's outdoor area, ball field complex, and the adjacent Hartsell Park. The project will look at connectivity within the Silver Hill Community and surrounding neighborhoods and accessibility between Hartsell Park and the Hartsell Recreation Center area. We plan to develop the complex and park according to recommendations from the master plan. Phase I: The redevelopment of the open space in front of recreation center including parking lot for connectivity to Hartsell Park, Hartsell ballfields. Phase II: The renovation of the ball field complex including buildings and storage area. Phase III: the renovations to Hartsell Park restroom building, storage, and picnic shelters. This project is currently in the FY 2023-2027 CIP. Per the owner, as of July 5, 2023, a design team has been selected. The owner states that this project is likely to go to bid in FY 2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
