Site work for a water / sewer project in Boone, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project includes the relocation of a 12-inch force main, the relocation of a 12-inch water main, and installation of 10-inch, 6-inch, 3-inch, and 2.5-inch water main, as well as construction of a meter pit. All pipe material will be PVC unless otherwise noted on the plans. The force main and water main will be constructed by trenched and trenchless methods and also includes related work such as connections to existing infrastructure, valves, hydrants, erosion control, surface restoration, and miscellaneous associated work. The project will be divided into two phases. Phase 1 will include all work south of 205th Street. Phase 2 will include all work north of 205th Street. Phase 1 of the project shall be substantially complete as described in the Notice to Bidders and Notice of Public Hearing by the 19th day of February, 2021. Phase 2 of the project shall be substantially complete as described in the Notice to Bidders and Notice of Public Hearing by the 27th day of August, 2021. Substantially complete shall be defined as all water main work complete and placed in service. The project shall be fully complete as described in the Notice to Bidders and Notice of Public Hearing within twenty (20) working days after substantial completion.
