Site work for a water / sewer project in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of 1/14/2021 project was not yet been awarded. No estimated time frame yet. Utility repairs to The Cat and Dog Fountain and The Watering Trough, including installing new water, drainage and electric lines, new recirculating water system, and cleaning and waterproofing the fountain basin.This work involves upgrades to the Cat and Dog Fountain basin, new water line, water meter pit with water meter, and drainage lines, and inclusion of a recirculating water system. The fountain sculpture, composed of three parts, is proposed to be removed and recreated through a separate proposal. The existing basin has numerous cracks and fractures and has lost any waterproofing system that it might have once had. The existing fountain is connected to the town water system with a straight feed to the fountain assembly. An existing galvanized riser pipe provides the current basin drainage. The proposed work for the Cat and Dog Fountain location includes: Remove and reset basin capstones; Clean, repair cracks, and waterproof the basin; Saw cut utility trench from center of basin to the northeast Remove and replace the existing water line and riser pipe; Install new meter pit and water meter, and box-type yard hydrant; Install new water lines, drain pipe, and electrical conduits; Install new recirculation system including water service feed, drainage and submersible recirculation pump with ball float system and air gap backflow system, including electrical service; Loam, seed, and clean-up of all disturbed areas.
