Renovation of a fire / police facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 6,800-square-foot fire / police facility.
The Cost range for this project should be between $90,000 and $120,000. The City of Raleigh Engineering Services Department requests proposals for the roof replacement of Fire Station 24 at 10440 Fossil Creek Court. The scope of work associated with the work includes removal of the existing mechanically attached asphalt shingle roofing system and replacement with a field seamed standing seam metal roofing system. The approximate total square footage is 6,800. It is the intent of the City of Raleigh to award this project as a single prime project. The Project consists of removal of the existing mechanically attached asphalt shingle roofing system and replacement with a field seamed standing seam metal roofing system. The approximate total square footage is 6,800. The goal breakdown is 8% for minorities and 7% for non-minority females. The existing roof areas are comprised of laminated architectural asphalt shingles, over asphalt felt underlayment, over 5/8 inch plywood sheathing, over metal framing members. 1. The upper roof area is approximately 2,450 square feet and has a structural slope of approximately five in twelve (5:12), with a maximum eave height of approximately twenty-two feet. 2. The lower roof area is approximately 4,350 square feet and has a structural slope of approximately four in twelve (4:12), with a maximum eave height of approximately fourteen feet.
