The scope of work associated with the work includes removal of the existing mechanically attached asphalt shingle roofing system and replacement with a field seamed standing seam metal roofing system. The approximate total square footage is 6,800. It is the intent of the City of Raleigh to award this project as a single prime project. The Project consists of removal of the existing mechanically attached asphalt shingle roofing system and replacement with a field seamed standing seam metal roofing system. The approximate total square footage is 6,800. The goal breakdown is 8% for minorities and 7% for non-minority females. The existing roof areas are comprised of laminated architectural asphalt shingles, over asphalt felt underlayment, over 5/8 inch plywood sheathing, over metal framing members. 1. The upper roof area is approximately 2,450 square feet and has a structural slope of approximately five in twelve (5:12), with a maximum eave height of approximately twenty-two feet. 2. The lower roof area is approximately 4,350 square feet and has a structural slope of approximately four in twelve (4:12), with a maximum eave height of approximately fourteen feet.
