The lowest responsive bidder must have completed, or successfully complete, a Bridge, or project specific prequalification to be considered for the award of this contract. Description: Maine Federal Aid Project No. 1728001, WIN.018767.01 Location: In Oxford County, project is located on Rte.26 beginning 0.06 mi. east of Rumford Ave. and extends westerly 2.57 miles. Outline of Work: Highway Rehabilitation and other incidental work. The basis of award will be Section 1 combined with chosen Alternate 1 (Section 2), or Section 1 combined with chosen Alternate 2 (Section 3). The basis of award will be a combination of Section 1 and the contractor chosen Alternate (Section 2 or 3.) For Project- specific information fax all questions to Project Manager Rhobe Moulton at (207) 624-3431, use electronic RFI form or email questions to RFI-Contracts MDOT@maine.gov, project name and identification number should be in the subject line. Questions received after 12:00 noon of Monday (or if that Monday is a state holiday, Friday) prior to bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashiers check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of $200,000.00 payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder This Contract is subject to all applicable State Laws. The right is hereby reserved to the MaineDOT to reject any or all bids. MEDOT - Highway Rehabilitation on Route 26 For FFY 2019-21 (October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2021) MaineDOT has established an annual DBE participation goal of 2.4% to be achieved through race/gender neutral means Per Executive Order 11246, craft tradesperson goals are 6.9% women and .5% minorities employed
