Site work for a water / sewer project in Huntington Station, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Construct a 20"X10"-diameter Well (No. 2a) Approximately 560 Feet Deep, to Be Located at the Broadway Avenue Well Field, Huntington Station, Town of Huntington, Ny. Each proposal from a Contractor must be accompanied by a cashier's check or bid bond made payable to the Suffolk County Water Authority for Five Percent (5%) of the total bid. Interested bidders are invited to submit in writing or via e-mail, any questions on this contract to Marlon Torres, Purchasing Director, SCWA, 3525 Sunrise Highway, Great River, Long Island, NY 11739, fax 631-589-5268 or email marlon.torres@scwa.com. Prior to execution of the contract, the successful bidder shall be required to furnish, at his expense, a Performance Bond, in such form as prescribed by the Authority, in the Amount of One hundred Percent (100%) of the total bid price, or, in lieu of such Performance Bond, a Bank Check, or a Letter of Credit (Letter of Credit Expiration date shall be one-month past the contract expiration date), satisfactory to Suffolk County Water Authority together with an Indemnification Agreement in such form as prescribed by the Authority. The work on the well shall be substantially completed within One Hundred Fifty (150) calendar days after the Effective Date of the Agreement or in accordance with Notification to Proceed. The bidder further agrees that if this Proposal is accepted by the Suffolk County Water Authority and if the undersigned bidder should refuse, fail or neglect to enter into contract or to file a satisfactory Guarantee Bond within thirty (30) days of the Agreement date, then at the option of the Suffolk County Water Authority the undersigned bidder may be considered to have abandoned the contract, and thereupon this proposal shall be null and void, and the deposit accompanying this Proposal shall be forfeited to and become the property of said Authority as liquidated damages for such failure or neglect, otherwise the deposit shall be returned to the undersigned. The Suffolk County Water Authority reserves the right to cancel this contract (in part or whole) by giving not less than seven (7) days and not more than thirty (30) days written notice that, on or after a date therein specified, the contract shall be deemed terminated and canceled.
