Scope of Work: The work under this Contract will require that the Contractor be available to mobilize and perform asphalt paving repair and improvement work on the KC Parks Regional Trail System and parking lot facilities within the parks system. The work includes asphalt overlay, asphalt patching and repair, surfacing materials, crack sealing, pavement repair excavation including haul, grading and compaction of subgrade, pavement marking, concrete walkway, curbs, ADA ramps, chain link fence, signage, root barriers, root pruning/removal including base repair, bollards, wheel stops, erosion/water pollution control, and temporary traffic control, and other works. The work performed under this Contract shall not exceed $2,000,000 and the initial Contract Time shall not exceed 365 calendar days from the date of Contract Execution by the County. The County does not guarantee any minimum amount of work or that the dollar amount of the Work Orders issued will total $2,000,000 during the duration of this Contract. At the County's sole discretion, this Contract may be extended for one additional year or until the Not to Exceed Contract Price is reached, whichever occurs first. Subcontracting Opportunities: Temporary traffic control and flaggers; Pavement marking. Apprenticeship Requirements: 5% minimum Apprentice Utilization Requirement. SCS Utilization Requirements. The Contractor shall ensure that at least 20% of the total price for all executed Work Orders shall be performed by King County Certified SCS Firms over the life of the Contract.
