Project B - Restoration of two bio-retention areas and one storm water management basin (originally constructed in 2004-2005) that have become functionally and/or structurally compromised due to legacy vegetation growth and sedimentation. This scoping package describes restorative maintenance work to be performed for Orange County Schools (OCS) on approximately six (6) acres of denuded grassy areas located on and/or adjacent to Gravelly Hill Middle School. These areas have become critically unstabledue to soil compaction and stormwater runoff. The project site is located entirely within Orange County property. Gravelly Hill Middle School and its associated athletic fields(operated by OCS) are located on PIN 9844057652. Separate soccer/activity fields (operated by Orange County) are located to the east of the school site on PIN 9844157438. OCS leases the Gravelly Hill Middle School site from Orange County. The project site address is 4801 West Ten Road, Efland, NC 27243.Installation of limited erosion control measures (e.g. silt fence, silt fence/stone outlets, wattles, erosion control blanketing, seed/straw, etc.) so as to prevent site erosion and sediment transport from disturbed areas related to project scope, as directed in the field by the Orange County Erosion Control Inspector.
