As of December 7, 2020, the first of two pipeline projects started in October 2020 and the second project is scheduled to commence first quarter 2021. The DeKalb-Cherokee Counties Gas District (DC Gas) is seeking to pre-qualify contractors for construction projects for the expansion of natural gas pipelines, both steel and polyethylene, that are planned for the fiscal year ending August 31, 2021. All pre-qualification packages must be sealed, and the purpose of the package must be clearly marked on the envelope. All parties submitting a pre-qualification package will be notified, in writing, of pre-qualification or rejection. Packages will be evaluated on the completion of the Contractor's Affidavit of Qualifications, "and the "Financial Supplement" attached thereto. DC Gas may reject, for good cause, any contractor's qualification to bid. Such good cause shall include, but shall not be limited to: Lack of competency or experience; lack of machinery and equipment; or the lack of financial resources as revealed by the "Contractor's Affidavit of Qualifications," and/or the "Financial Supplement."
