Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Cherokee, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Project number- 20025 Scope of work: LS MOBILIZATION 1,840 SY 1 1/2" S4 SURFACE COURSE ASPHALT OVERLAY 13,110 SY 2" S4 SURFACE COURSE ASPHALT OVERLAY Small business and minority owned business sources are encouraged to bid on this project. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total amount bid shall be attached to all bids as a guarantee that the successful bidder will within ten (10) days from the date of notice of award, enter into contract and file the required bonds, and furnish a certificate of Workmans Compensation and General Contractors Liability Insurance. The City of Cherokee/Cherokee Development Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any irregularities or technicalities without assigning any reason therefore, and to make the awards in the best interest of the Owner. The City of Cherokee/ Cherokee Development Authority reserves the right to withhold any contract awarded subject to the availability of funds. All bids must include assurances that the following provisions will be complied with: Federal Labor Standards Provisions U. S. Department of Labor 29 CFR Part 5; Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C. 170IU which requires that to the greatest extent feasible opportunities for training and employment be given lower incomeresidents of the Town of Cherokee Development Authority and contracts for work in connection with the project be awarded to business concerns which are located or owned in substantial part by persons residing in the area of the project. Section 109 of the Housing and Community development Act of 1974 which assures that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination; Certification of Non-segregated Facilities which assures thatbidder does not maintain or provide any segregated facilities; Equal Opportunity Provision, EO 11246, as amended, which assures non discrimination; Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Provisions which encourage minority owned businesses and women owned businesses to paid on the project; assurances that surety companies executing bonds appear on the Treasury Department's list and are authorized to transact business in the State of Oklahoma. Contracts for this construction will require the submissions of a preliminary statement of anticipated work force and subcontractor needs for project construction work, as well as the submission of written goals (number of employees and dollar amount to subcontractors) for utilization of lower-income residents and small and disadvantaged businesses located within Alfalfa County. The City of Cherokee/Cherokee Development Authority reserves the right to reject any of all bids, waive any irregularities or technicalities without assigning any reason therefore, and to make the awards in the best interest of the Owner. (Bid shall be awarded to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder). No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after theactual date of the opening thereof. Bids are solicited and a contract award will be made pursuant to the Public Competitive Bidding Act of 1974 as amended (Title 61, O.S. 1981, Sections 101-136 et seq.). 1. MOBILIZATION: This item shall be paid for on a lump sum price bid. This item will be the Mobilization of equipment and material necessary to complete this project. This item shall be the complete mobilization for this project including multiple movements to and from the project to construct the project, complete in place including all materials and labor incidental thereto. All traffic control shall be incidental to the mobilization line item and shall be installed to the MUTCD standard. If necessary, contractor shall include construction staking in this item. 2. 1 1/2" S4 SURFACE COURSE ASPHALT OVERLAY: This item shall be paid for on a per square yard price bid. This item will be the furnishing and installation of 1 1/2" thick, Superpave Type S4 asphalt Overlay complete in place including tack coat, hauling, rolling, compacting, and all materials and labor incidental thereto in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. Raising valve boxes and manholes will be incidental to this line item. Any valve boxes or manhole adjustments shall be included in this line item. 3. 2" S4 SURFACE COURSE ASPHALT OVERLAY: This item shall be paid for on a per square yard price bid. This item will be the furnishing and installation of 2" thick, Superpave Type S4 asphalt Overlay complete in place including tack coat, density testing, hauling, rolling, compacting, and all materials and labor incidental thereto in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. Raising valve boxes and manholes will be incidental to this line item. Any valve boxes or manhole adjustments shall be included in this line item.
