Question Acceptance Deadline 10/01/2021 05:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online Yes In order to provide Clinton Township with contractors and subcontractors who will carry out the work in a timely and satisfactory manner, the contractor must meet all applicable qualification requirements noted in Township Ordinance No. 413, Part I. All responsive bids must include a completed, executed and notarized Contractor Responsibility Certificate. The qualifications for the contractor will be reviewed on the basis of the proposed bidders past performance on work of a similar nature for Clinton Township and other owners. Provisions for this qualification procedure will be included in the bid documents. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The approximate primary quantities involved in this work are as follows: Mobilization, (5% Maximum) - 1LS Audio-Visual Record of Construction Area - 1 LS 100 Kw Generator (480/277 V) Natural Gas Fired, Complete - 1 LS Automatic Transfer Switch (225 Amp, 600V), Complete - 1 LS Modify Electrical System (225 Amp) - 1 LS Modify Existing Gas Service - 1 LS Restoration - 1 LS This primary work shall be included together with alternate related work as well as restoration. A certified check, bank draft, or satisfactory bid bond, executed by the bidder and a surety company, payable to Clinton Township, in an amount at least equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount, shall be submitted with each bid. BONDS AND INSURANCE The accepted bidder shall be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond, and Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond of 100% for two years of the Final Contract Price. The cost of the bonds will be paid by the accepted bidder. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after receipt of bids. AWARD OF CONTRACT Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner and their respective Employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any bid. The Charter Township of Clinton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to award the agreement to other than the low proposal, to negotiate the terms and conditions of all and any part of the bids, to waive irregularities and/or formalities, and in general to make award in the manner as determined to be in the Township's best interest and its sole discretion.Please contact Mr. Paul Guinnane, P.E. from Anderson, Eckstein & Westrick, Inc. at (586) 726-1234 for any specific questions regarding this advertisement to bid. Bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. The project shall commence immediately following a notice to proceed per these contract documents. This project shall be substantially completed within (30) days of generator delivery to the contractor. All site visits must be coordinated with the Clinton Township Department of Public Works.
