Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

As of November 23,2020 the project was awarded to Starks Contracting amount of $2,147,270.00 . The start and completion date has not yet been determined. The work shall consist of the construction of a basketball pavilion, sports field improvements, playground, splash pad, building renovations, lighting, sidewalks, fencing, and other general park improvements to Bacot Park. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check or cashier's check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be furnished by each Bidder as required by the Contract Documents. The work to be performed under this contract consists of the general rehabilitation and improvements of the City of Gautier's Bacot Park as illustrated on the Construction Drawings and Specifications. Specific items of work shall be as authorized and directed by the Engineer upon examination of field conditions and the Engineer shall control the sequence of work. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with these Specifications, the Construction Drawings and regulations of governmental agencies having authority over this project. The work is located at Bacot Park, 2300 Ladnier Rd, Gautier, MS 39553. All work shall be located on City property. The Contractor shall be responsible for locating all existing facilities and utilities and laying out and staking of the proposed improvements.
