This project is located in the communities of Dartmouth and Waverley in the Halifax Regional Municipality on Waverley Road at 2 sites: 1) Near civic 815. 2) Between civics 1948 and 1964. The construction work generally consists of guide rail removal and disposal, tree trimming, embankment widening with surge rock, placement of Type 2 gravel and Type 1S shoulder gravel, new guide rail installation, asphalt swale placement, and other associated reinstatement and incidentals. For bids valued at $100,000 or greater before taxes, the Bidder shall submit with its bid, bid security in the form of an Electronic Bid Bond in an amount not less than 10% of the bid price. No other form of bid security is permitted. If the bid is valued at less than $100,000 before taxes, bid security is not required. If the Contract Price is $50,000 or greater, provide security for performance of the Contract in the form of an Electronic Performance Bond (e-Bond) for 50% of the Contract Price. If the Contract Price is less than $50,000, a Performance Bond is not required. If the Contract Price is $50,000 or greater, provide security for payment of labour and material provided in the performance of the Work in the form of an Electronic Labour and Material Payment Bond (e-Bond) for 50% of the Contract Price. If the Contract Price is less than $50,000, a Labour and Material Payment Bond is not required. The Engineer's representative during the tendering of this project shall be Gary Carpentier., P. Trade Agreement Atlantic Procurement Agreement (APA) The total duration to complete the Work shall be 15 Working Days regardless of which option the Contractor selects. The time to complete the Substantial Performance of the Work shall be calculated from the order to start work to the day of winter shut down in 2020. The number of days calculated shall resume on the Monday following removal of weight restrictions in 2021.
