Site work and new construction of a detention facility in Brockville, Ontario. Design plans call for the construction of a detention facility.
Construction of a new correction complex to replace the Brockville Jail. The new building will be built on the grounds of the St. Lawrence Valley Correctional and Treatment Centre. The scope includes expanding the St. Lawrence Valley Correctional and Treatment Centre (SLVCTC) in Brockville. TIMELINE: The project will be managed through a design-build-finance procurement method. An RFP for planning, design & conformance was executed with Stantec as of August 2022. The concept planning is underway. The scope of work is under review. The project is in the pre-procurement stage with Infrastructure Ontario. Further Requests For Proposals for Technical Advisor and Architect of Record will be issued between July and September 2024. A Request for Qualifications for Design-Bid-Build Consortia is expected Q3 2024 with an invited Request For Proposals to be issued Q1 2026. A subsequent invited Request For Proposals is anticipated Q3 2026 with an award expected Q2 2027. Estimated total capital costs are $200-499 million.
