Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A Contractor responding to these Bidding Documents must submit to the City/Owner a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. The location of the project is from Chapel Lane to 1st Ave SE on Minnesota Street. The project consists of each contractor verifying the existing conditions and totals. Contractor will remove the existing pavers and replace with clay fired brick. Tree's will be planted in newly constructed concrete 6 by 6 planter boxes. The planter boxes will be 6" thick and exposed approximately 8" above grade and 16" below grade. The benches to be installed will each have a colored stamped concrete base and bolted to the concrete base with stainless steel hardware. Bolts will be cut flush with the top of the nut. Concrete will be 4500 psi and will have rebar reinforcement. ADA pedestrian ramps will be the current ADA design approved. The colored concrete pads for the bench bases will be similar in color to the clay fired pavers. The tree planters will be a brushed colored concrete with rebar reinforcement, color will be decided by the City. All concrete will be sealed. Contractor is responsible for verifying total concrete required. The clay bricks will be laid over a base consisting of soil stabilization fabric for added durability. 6" of compacted Class II granite and 1" of Granite sand laying bed. The contractor is responsible to verify existing base materials and make corrections as needed. The existing soil will be enhanced for the best tree health and growth.
