The Project consists of the complete reconstruction of the utilities and streetscape along Clinton Avenue. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. The City requires all bidders to comply with the M/WBE requirements for each participating grant agency. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or defects in such bid either before or after opening. Work under this Contract may generally be described to include, but not be limited to the following: Mobilization, stakeout of utilities, Dig Safely New York clearances, obtain NYS DOT construction permits and other permits as required, maintenance and protection of traffic, field office, clearing and grubbing, trenching, protection of existing facilities and structures, backfilling and compaction, new water distribution facilities/appurtenances, piping pressure/leakage testing, water system disinfection, new wastewater collection mains/appurtenances, connection to existing sewer lateral, new stormwater collection mains/appurtenances, asphalt pavement replacement, gravel driveway replacement, concrete driveway/sidewalk replacement, stone curbing, periodic and final cleanup, site restoration, erosion and sediment control, and all work necessary to complete the roadway reconstruction in accordance with the Plans and Specifications All work of this contract shall be coordinated with other Prime Contractors involved in the project. All work shall additionally be coordinated with all other activities, construction, or others at each site throughout the progress of the work of this project.
