Construction of the one new pole barn and one enclosed metal shed at Berkeley County Maintenance Garage. Bids in excess of $100,000.00 will require a 5% Bid Bond. One (1) clearly identified original and one (1) complete copies are required. All bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened. The Bid must be complete, clear, and concise. (8 1/2 x 11 pages, printed on one side only, and unbound). All bids shall be entered in ink or typewritten and shall remain firm for a period of not less than sixty (60) days. Mistakes may be crossed-out and corrections inserted adjacent thereto, and shall be initialed, in ink, by the person signing the bid. The commencement date shall be as agreed between the Successful Bidder and the County as indicated within the Notice to Proceed. All Work shall be completed within 75 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The Successful Bidder shall agree that if the Work, or any part thereof, is not completed within the time agreed and indicated in the Contract Document that he shall be liable to the County in the amount of Eight Hundred and 00/100, ($800.00) Dollars per day for each and every calendar day the completion of the Work is delayed beyond the time provided in the Contract.
