Lehigh Cement Dock Repairs Construction activities along the southeast end of the West Pier adjacent to the Lehigh Cement Facility will consist of the rehabilitation of the existing timber crib pier and concrete cap wall. The pier in this area is in disrepair due to the recent high water and waves generated by Lake Ontario. This work will be undertaken to reestablish, maintain, and protect the southeast end of the West Pier adjacent to the Lehigh Cement Facility. The contractor is cautioned, certain work at the site will require: 1. Coordination with Port of Oswego Authority and Lehigh Cement to maintain access into and out of the Port property. 2. Coordination with the Port of Oswego Authority and Lehigh Cement to maintain maritime shipping for the duration of the project. 3. Establishment of curfew windows for work purposes so that contractors activities do not interfere with either overland truck or maritime shipping traffic No bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by a Bid Bond, safeguarding the Port of Oswego Authority, executed by an acceptable surety, in amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate Performance Bond, Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond to the Port of Oswego Authority (POA) in the full amount of the award for each bond, to be executed by a duly incorporated surety company, for the faithful performance of the Contract. The Contractor shall also furnish all insurances required by the contract documents. Such costs shall be borne by the contractor as an overhead cost to the amount in the submission of the bid. Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Bids may be held by the POA for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) calendar days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids, and investigating the qualifications of bidders (prospective Contractors), prior to awarding of the Contract. No bids will be withdrawn during this period without the consent of the POA. The POA reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. The Owner reserves the right to award certain items only and the Contractor will have no claim against the Owner if all items are not approved and awarded.
