Renovation of a residential development in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Due to the extent of this project, recorded attendance from a qualified representative is strongly recommended in order to submit a qualified bid. Observe preventative health measures while in attendance: 1. Wear a protective mask. 2. Maintain at least 6 feet of distance from other persons. 3. Remain at home if you feel sick. 4. Practice good personal hygiene. 5. Temperatures will be taken. Bids must be submitted plainly marked as follows: "IFB Solicitation #O-882-08 - CHA Emma Wheeler Homes." The following information must also be present: Bidder's name, state license number and expiration date; name of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning subcontractors and their respective state license numbers and expiration dates, and the date and time of bid opening. This information is outlined in the bid cover sheet in CHA Project Manual front end. Each contractor submitting a proposal must hold a license to operate in the State of Tennessee. All contractors and subcontractors must be licensed in accordance with TCA 62-6-119. Bidders must provide all contractors' and subcontractors' current licenses with bid. Bids must be submitted according to the "Instructions to Bidders." No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the official bid date. CHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any abnormalities in the bids. Attention is called to the provisions for Equal Employment Opportunity. Davis Bacon wage rates, as set forth in the specifications, are the prevailing wage rates for this project. A Bid Bond will be required for contracts that are more than $100,000. The successful bidder for a project over $100,000 will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Payment and Performance Bond. When a Payment and Performance bond is required or applicable, the actual cost of the Payment and Performance Bond will be the responsibility of the contractor to include in base bid and will not be reimbursed by owner. Each bidder of a contract totaling greater than $100,000 shall accompany his/her bid with a signed certificate from a Surety Company acceptable to the Owner stating that such surety will provide the bidder, if awarded the Contract, with required Payment and Performance Bond.
