Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a four-acre playground / park / athletic field.
All questions must be in writing (e-mail is acceptable) and received by the City no later than 5:00 pm on Thursday, January 13, 2022. The City is not responsible for undelivered questions Scope of work to be performed consists of, but not limited to, the construction of an approximate 4.4 acre dog park with 3 separate dog enclosure areas with fencing, an entry driveway and parking lot, prefabricated bathroom, hardscape and landscape improvements (turf, decomposed granite, concrete plazas and sidewalks), site and parking lot lighting, shade structures with seating, signage, and various amenities (drinking fountains, dog agility equipment, etc.). CONTRACTORS LICENSE: In accordance with provisions of Section 3300 of the California Public Contract Code, the City has determined that Contractor shall possess any and all contractors licenses, in form and class as required by any and all applicable laws with respect to any and all of the work to be performed under this contract including, "Class-A" (General Engineering Contractor) License in accordance with the provisions of the Contractor's License Law (California Business and Professions Code, Section 7000 et. seq.). No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. 5. PREVAILING WAGES: In accordance with the provisions of California Labor Code, Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1, Articles 1 and 2, the Contractor is required to pay not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which the public work is performed, and not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for holiday and overtime work. In that regard, the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California is required to and has determined such general prevailing rates of per diem wages. As such, a copy of prevailing wage rates may be found at https://www.dir.ca.gov/Public-Works/Prevailing-Wage.html. The Contracting Agency also shall cause a copy of such determinations to be posted at the job site.6. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the form and amount specified in Public Contract Code Sections 20170 and 20171. See Bid Package for details. 7. PAYMENT BOND AND COMPLETION BOND: A Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials (Payment) Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount, will be required of the Contractor. The City of Rancho Cucamonga, reserves the right to reject any bid or all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid. Any contract awarded will be let to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
