The project involves construction of approximately 2,400SY of Concrete Pavement at the new Texas City West Annex Facility including striping and minor storm sewer work. This project also includes the installation of 7,000 SY of 6" Concrete Paving at the Biosphere Recycling Facility. Horizontal and vertical locations of work. 2. Changes in equipment and dimensions due to substitutions. 3. "Nameplate" data on all installed equipment. 4. Deletions, additions, and changes to scope of work. 5. Any other changes made. The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the soil and groundwater (if any) conditions at the existing Biosphere Recycling Center and Future Public Works office Building, and to provide geotechnical recommendations for the proposed pavement replacement. The scope of this investigation consisted of the following tasks: Cored the existing pavement at four (4) locations to obtain the existing pavement thickness and for boring access. Drilled and sampled two (2) 10-foot borings at Biosphere Recycling Center and two (2) 5-foot borings at future public works office building location. Performed appropriate laboratory tests on selected representative soil samples to develop the engineering properties of the soil. Performed engineering analyses to develop geotechnical recommendations for pavement thickness including subgrade stabilization for the pavement construction. Prepared a geotechnical investigation report including field and laboratory data and geotechnical recommendations. Cut off for questions will be 5:00 p.m., local time, Thursday, September 24, 2020.
