Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Pickering, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 13,539-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
Construction of a New Fire Station 5. The scope of work of this tender is the construction of a new Fire Hall, located at 1515 Sandy Beach Road, Pickering. The Fire Hall will be replacing the existing Fire Station #5 at 1616 Bayly Street. The new construction will consist of a two-storey fire hall to include slab on grade construction (no basement); apparatus bay to accommodate two interior tandem truck bays (up to 4 trucks) with drive-though capability with vehicle exhaust system and emission monitoring/detection system; living and sleeping accommodations for up to 8 full staff (2 crews of 4 firefighters); staff and visitor parking at the side and rear of the building, all in accordance with the Contract Documents forming part of this Tender and with all applicable codes and laws. The successful Bidder shall commence the work immediately following execution of the Contract. The Contract Time for completion of the Deliverables shall be eighteen (18) months from the date of Contract execution.
