Kannapolis Board of Education Head Start requests your proposal for construction management services related to site improvements, major renovation of existing facilities, construction of a new Head Start 13 classroom modular unit and program administrative services building on property currently owned by Kannapolis City Schools. These projects are a result of damages sustained from of Hurricane Michael (2018 Hurricane). Kannapolis Board of Education Head Start is inviting construction managers to participate in the following selection process. 1. Site improvements to an owned and operating facility at 1300 Glenn Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28081 to be used for program services during major renovations and permanent construction, including but not limited to interior remodeling to create offices, a laundry room, family restroom, and family kitchen. The site will also acquire a generator during this process. 2. Removal of all modular units from property, addition of pavement and walkways, as well as parking lot and grading. 3. Construction of a facility on land owned by Kannapolis City Schools at 1300 Glenn Avenue, Kannnapolis, NC 28081. 4. The facility is expected to hold 13 classrooms and several office areas. It will be 30,240 square feet overall. The project manager will work closely with a modular company to ensure that the building is set up on the property following Office of Head Start approved blueprints and plans.
