The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty days (60) subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority. Il-50-7, 13 & 16/johnstoncity, Il-50-12 & 15/herrin,and Il-50-18/carterville ILO I P050-50 1- 19 AND 50 I -20, 184-000255 The Housing Authority of the County of Williamson will receive sealed bids for Kitchen, Bath and Plumbing Upgrades, Phase 3 funded under Modernization Program No.s IL01P050-501-19 and IL01P050-501-20 at Projectsin IL-50-7, 13 & 16/Johnston City, IL-50-12 & 15/Herrin, and IL-50-18/Carterville in Williamson County, Illinois. Bids shall be submitted in a single lump sum proposal. A goal has been established of awarding at least 20 percent of the dollar value of the total contract amount to minority business enterprises. substantially completed,within two hundred forty (240) consecutive calendar daysfrom the date stated in the Notice to Proceed. The Notice to Proceed will be issued within thirty (30) calendar days The scope of work consists of Kitchen, Bath, and Plumbing Upgrades -Phase 3 at Projects IL-50-7/Johnston City, IL-50-12/Herrin, IL-50-13/Johnston City, IL-50-15/Herrin, IL-50-16/Johnston City, and IL-50-18/Carterville in Williamson County, Illinois funded through Modernization ProgramNo. IL01P050-501-19 and IL01P050-501-20. The scope of work essentially includes the following work and shall be bid under one lump sumcontract. 1. Base Bid: a. IL-80-7, 50-12, 50-13, and 50-16: 1) Work in dwelling units includes abatement of floor tile and mastic and designated areas of gypsumboard wall finishes and ceiling texture. Temporarily remove and reinstall all existing water heaters, furnaces, appliances, and other floor mounted equipment for flooring work. New VCT and base trim. Replace existing dryer vents/caps. Saw-cut, remove, and replace concrete floorslab as required for access to underslab sanitary waste piping. Replace all underslab sanitary waste piping. Skimcoat and complete painting in units. Replace interior doors, frames, and hardware. Replace shelving in designated areas. Replace alllight fixtures and wiring devices. Replace existing electrical load centers and service wires back to existing meter base. Upgrade service at designated units. Upgrade or convert designated units to meet accessibility codes and standards. 2) Bathroomwork shall consist of removing and replacing gypsumboard wall finishes. Replace water closets, wood chair rails,toilet accessories, medicine cabinets,light fixtures, exhaust fans, receptacles, and switches. Replace tubs and surrounds. Replace lavatories.Provide step-in or roll-in showers at designated units. 3) Kitchen work shall consist of removing and replacing existing kitchen cabinets, countertops, sinks, range hoods, and grease shields. Install new HPDLwall finish. b. IL-50-15: 1) Exterior work to hi-rise building includes repointing of brick veneer in designated areas, replacing damaged bricks, and replacing sealant joints. c. IL-50-18: 1) Exterior work includes repairs to front entrance canopy,including roof membrane and flashing, repair and recoating of EIFS, and sealant joints. 2) Interior work includes abatement of flooring and mastic, replace common area flooring and base trim, painting of common area, and replace domestic water piping in corridor and add isolation valves, and replace designated exterior doors, frames, and hardware.
