Renovation of a water / sewer project in Decatur, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
For Utilities Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Finish Water Pumping Improvements The Project consists of the following major components: The project consists of improvements to Decatur Utilities water treatment plant finished water pump station and plant discharge piping. Work will include demolition of existing pumps, piping, pump bases, and electrical equipment. Provide and install four (4) new 300 HP vertical turbine finished water pumps, one (1) new vertical turbine back wash pump and associated electrical and mechanical components. Includes demolition and abandonment of existing cast iron pipe, and installation of new 12"-42" ductile iron pipe, fittings, and valves. All bidders must be pre-approved as a contractor for Decatur Utilities at least 2 weeks prior to bid by contacting Jonathon Aldridge at Decatur Utilities, (256) 552-1474, jaldridge@decaturutilities.com . Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by security submitted on the prescribed Bid Bond form in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the amount bid but not more than $10,000.00. All Contractors are required to provide certification of compliance with the E-Verify program per Alabama Act 2012-491. The Work will be substantially complete within 400 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 460 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
