Site work for a mixed-use development in Beaverton, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a multi-residential development; and medical facility.
Modular Supportive Housing consisting of single/bachelor-style living units. Typical units will measure 29'10 x 14 ft (407.4 sq ft). The development will include approximately 50 units (the final number of units will depend on factors such as unit sizes and amenity space; subject to design) and a 5,000 sq ft ancillary structure. The supportive housing model features 24-7 supports for residents including health care, addiction counselling, mental health supports and more. On-site services will also be made available to community residents, with a consultation process in place to determine what services are most needed in the area. TIMELINE: NRB has been contracted for the design, fabrication and installation of the modular housing. Site civil work commenced late July 2022, which will include foundation, grading, parking lots, sidewalks, and hydro, water and sewer connections. The Supportive Housing units are scheduled to be manufactured beginning this fall. The Hub delivery and installation is currently scheduled for January 2023, with the installation of the main building to follow. On-site assembly and finishing will continue through the winter/spring 2023 with occupancy of the facility targeted for May 2023. *Value listed is construction budget. The Region will use funds from the Ontario Priorities Housing Initiative (OPHI) to construct the housing project.
