Leander City Council approved a construction contract with Austin Underground Inc. on Nov. 5. The project was substantially completed Feb. 24, Maas said. City Engineer Wayne Watts said further widening of CR 290 will be necessary in the future because the county road crosses through Travis and Williamson counties but could eventually become a city road. Cost: $236,701.50 ________ The Work includes full-width milling, grading, base, surfacing and culvert construction at the intersection of County Road 290 and Nameless Road. Bids received after the specified time may be returned unopened. The OWNER's representative opening the Bids shall establish the official cut-off time for receiving the Bids.
