Expected Contract Value $750k to $1 Million. The Luzerne County Board of Council will receive sealed bids for the Luzerne County - Mill Mountain Road Bridge (CB54706) Replacement - Project This project will include the replacement of the existing bridge and corresponding roadway rehabilitation. The particular items of work for the contract are identified more specifically in the Bid Format, Contract Specifications and Contract Documents. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) Contractor. Contractor is to be prequalified. No pre-bid meeting will be held as part of this advertisement/bid. Bid results will be available electronically following the meeting. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bidder bond, or certified check or cashier check, payable to County of Luzerne, in the amount of not less than ten percent of the total amount bid. The County reserves the right to waive any informality in and to accept or reject any and all bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, and related matters. The Contractor will be required to comply with the Provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act in providing equal employment opportunities in connection with all work. This bid is for a public works contract and bidder is therefore subject to the provisions, duties, obligations and penalties of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, 43 P.S. 167.1-167.11. All submitted bids shall be accompanied with the Public Works Employment Verification Form.
