This project is included in the Volusia County's fiscal years 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of December 18, 2023, design is underway. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. Based on an updated safety study, Old Mission Road alignment will be shifted west away from the existing canal. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The purpose of this request for statement of qualifications (RSQ) is to select the most highly qualified firm(s) to provide the requested services. It is anticipated that one (1) firm will be awarded a basic contract to provide the necessary services for a period of three (3) years or until project completion, whichever occurs first. The County of Volusia is seeking the services of a consultant to provide Professional Engineering Design Services for Roadway Re-alignment and Safety Improvements on Old Mission Road from W. Park Avenue to Josephine Street / 10th Street near the Cities of Edgewater and New Smyrna Beach. The County previously performed a safety and feasibility study along this project corridor. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
