Sewer Improvements: Replace in place 1,536 linear feet (LF) of existing concrete pipe (CP) and vitrified clay (VC) sewer main of existing 6 inch and 8 inch including sewer laterals, manholes. Abandon 4,736 LF of existing CP and VC sewer main and construct 119 sewer lateral replumbs. Installation of 7,143 LF of 8-inch PVC Sewer Main and associated new manholes in new alignment within city right-of-way. Rehabilitate 1,729 LF of existing VC sewer mains and associated sewer laterals and installation of sewer lateral cleanouts at property line, if needed. Water Improvements: Replace in place 7,632 LF of existing 6 inch and 8 inch asbestos cement (AC)water mains of existing 6 inch, 8 inch and 10 inch, installation of 794 LF of new 8 inch PVC watermains, abandonment of 560 LF of existing water mains including associated water services, fire hydrants,, air valves, blow off, high lining, water main cut-and-plugs, reconnection and other associated work. The scope of work for this project includes all curb ramps, traffic control, street resurfacing and striping as required. The City has incorporated mandatory SLBE-ELBE subcontractor participation percentages to enhance competition and maximize subcontracting opportunities. For the purpose of achieving the mandatory subcontractor participation percentages, a recommended breakdown of the SLBE and ELBE subcontractor participation percentages based upon certified SLBE and ELBE firms has also been provided to achieve the mandatory subcontractor participation percentages: SLBE participation 9.0%, ELBE participation 13.3%, Total mandatory participation 22.3%.
