The Work includes site preparatory activities; selective demolition; installation of an Owner-supplied rubber low head-loss inline check valve on the 30-inch Reservoir upper outlet discharge piping adjacent to a new check valve access manhole; a 24" magnetic flow meter in an access manhole and signal integration with Reservoir Gatehouse controls system; tie-in connection between the 30-inch Reservoir upper outlet discharge piping and the 36-inch Reservoir transmission main from the Water Treatment Plant in the intersection of Pennington Avenue and Prospect Avenue; installation of a 30" line stop for flow isolation; maintenance of traffic; related electrical and instrumentation improvements; and start-up and testing of completed modifications.
