Renovation of a water / sewer project in Anita, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Group A: Wastewater treatment facility improvements that include the replacement of the facility's existing lagoon aeration system with a new fine bubble aeration and blowers, desludging of the existing aerated lagoons and land application of removed sludge, construction of a four-cell submerged attached growth reactor, installation of an ultraviolet disinfection system, construction of an effluent lift station, rehabilitation of the existing effluent outfall structure, improvements to the influent lift station, and installation of a standby electrical generator and automatic transfer switch. Group B: Electrical power extension that includes approximately 1.6 miles of 3-phase electrical conduit and conductors from the City of Anita to the wastewater treatment facility. The project site is located at the existing wastewater treatment plant off of White Pole Road in Anita, Iowa. Borings were located near the lagoons and on the lagoon berm of the property as well as in the ditch along White Pole Road. Our ATV-mounted drill rig was required to access boring locations near the lagoon.
