Site work, new construction and addition to a mixed-use development in Prince George, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the addition of a medical facility; for site work for a medical facility; and for the construction of a parking garage.
Infrastructure BC on behalf of Northern Health, is inviting proposals from interested parties to submit Responses indicating their interest in, and qualifications for, the UHNBC Acute Care Tower Project Single Target Outturn Cost Alliance Selection Process. Northern Health is undertaking the expansion of the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) in Prince George, British Columbia through the addition of a new Acute Care Tower. The total approved budget for the Project is $1.579 billion. Features of this Project include: - A new Acute Care Tower providing 211 new beds for Surgical, Cardiac and Mental Health services, along with 12 new operating suites. The project scope includes 163 stalls of vehicle parking, as well as bicycle parking facilities. The Acute Care Tower will be connected to the existing hospital through a building link; - The opportunity to address critical infrastructure needs for the Owner; - Strong government and public support for the Project; and - A collaborative RFP process in which shortlisted teams will have the opportunity to align on the provisions of the agreements with the Owner. Award amount was not released for publication.
