The City requires the services of a qualified consulting firm to provide professional services for developing a wayfinding plan, and design standards, within the Plus 15 Network located in the downtown core of Calgary. The City owns eighty-six (86) Plus 15 bridges in downtown Calgary that span between two (2) private or public properties at approximately fifteen (15) feet off of street level. The development of a comprehensive and coherent wayfinding system that makes it easier for Calgarians and visitors to access and navigate the Plus Fifteen Network is supported by over a decade of policy. This project anticipates the following phases: Phase 1: Project Planning and Information Review Phase 2: Wayfinding System Plan: Develop a system for defining the network. Phase 4: Wayfinding Design Guidelines: Develop guidance for the wayfinding components. Phase 4: Final Plan: Complete a site assessment for each identified sign location and determine capital and operating costs of implementing and maintaining the recommendations of the wayfinding plan. This procurement process is not intended to create, and, will not create, a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
