This project will be funded by the Water Pollution Control Loan Fund Program as administered by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the Ohio Water Development Authority. The Contractor shall note that there are Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation goals for this project. This procurement is subject to the EPA policy on encouraging the participation of small business in rural areas (SBRAs). The project is located along the South Interceptor in the City of North Olmsted, Ohio adjacent to the Spruce Elementary School. Scope- This project involves construction of a new sanitary flow equalization basin to capture sanitary overflows and prevent surcharging and basement flooding at the South Interceptor and a corresponding newly constructed pump station. The constructed equalization tank will have a capacity of 1.5 MG, have a 125ft diameter geodesic dome top, and will utilize a gravity fill and pump in system. The pump station will include four 3.33 MGD pumps, providing 10 MGD capacity with one pump out of service. A not to exceed price of $325,670.00 is included for the pumping equipment.
