Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
As of March 14, 2022, an engineer has been selected and this project is included in the design phase. It is anticipated bidding will commence in September 2023, with construction following. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The project consists of the resurfacing of Wilke Road from approximately 600 ft north of IL 62 (Algonquin Rd) to the Union Pacific Railroad just south of US 14 (Northwest Highway), a distance of approximately 13,570 ft, or 2.57 miles. Resurfacing includes intermittent curb & gutter, sidewalk and driveway removal and replacement, ADA sidewalk improvements, pavement milling, structure adjustments, loop detector replacement, paving, striping, landscape restoration, and all other ancillary work substantive to a road resurfacing project and as required due to project specific conditions. The project includes the extension of a concrete multi-use path along the east parkway of Wilke Road from Bray Court to north of Orchard Place connecting to the existing off-street path at the southern edge of Sunset Meadows Park. No ROW acquisition is anticipated for this project. The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive informalities or irregularities in the selection process.
