Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Montreal, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and laboratory facility.
Expansion of the College de Maisonneuve. The scope of the project includes the construction of a new facility for the facilitation of the marketing of products derived from green chemistry. The new building will be located on the Angus Technopol territory and will house an Integrated Pre-Commercial Hall (HPCI) attached to the Collège de Maisonneuve and complementing the activities of the Quebec Centre for the Study of Chemical Processes (CÉPROCQ). This research facility will enable companies, especially in the food, petroleum and green chemicals sectors, to manufacture small batches of innovative products to test the markets before being produced on a large scale. The owner expects that the Ministère de l'Économie et de l'Innovation (MEI) will include the project in its current funding programs and will assume up to 80% of the HPCI project funding, while the College and its private partners will have to assume the remaining 20%. TIMELINE: The project has not received the desired funding from the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation and was cancelled. The project may be replaced by a more modest project that will be followed when/if it is identified. Coverage of this report has been discontinued.
