Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Grimshaw, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
This Contract is for the removal of the existing 3-6.1 m long HC girder bridge on a treated timber substructure and the construction of a new prestressed concrete girder bridge. The new structure will be a 20 m SLC700 prestressed concrete girder bridge on a 15 RHF skew and concrete substructure. The crossing is located on a local road (Shaftesbury Trail), south of Grimshaw, Alberta. Without limiting the provisions of these Specifications and Contract, the Scope of Work at this site shall include the following: Traffic Accommodation (onsite detour) Demolition and Disposal of Bridge Structure Headslope Preparation and Backfill Supply, Set-Up and Drive Steel H-Piling with Pile Tip Reinforcement Supply and Placement of Reinforcing Steel (Plain, Corrosion Resistant and Stainless) Supply and Placement of Class C Concrete Supply, Delivery and Erection of Prestressed SLC-700 Interior and Exterior Curbs (20 m long, 15 RHF Skew) Supply and Placement of Reinforced Class HPC Concrete Bridge Deck and Approach Slabs Roadway Work including approximately 2.2 m Grade Raise and approximately 300 m long Horizontal Road Realignment Supply and Placement of Class 1 Heavy Rock Riprap complete with Turf Reinforcement Matting Bridgerail and Guardrail Installation Supply and Installation of Erosion Control Barrier (Silt Fence) Supply and Installation of Erosion Control Soil Covering (Type C) Documents can be obtained from https://mpaeng.bidsandtenders.ca/
