Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in West Windsor, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The County of Mercer requests bids for the construction of a new single story comfort station for the Mercer County Park Commission located at the Festival Grounds in Mercer County Park. The project will be constructed under a single prime contract. The contractor will be responsible for all required permits and fees. All work to be performed shall be in accordance with the Project Documents, Drawings and Specifications. The scope of work for the project includes, but is not necessarily limited to the construction of a new single story concession building that includes the following spaces: Concession Stand Women's Toilet Room Men's Toilet Room Storage The construction of the building is comprised generally of the following; Shallow concrete spread wall footings, Load bearing masonry walls, Pre-engineered wood roof trusses and shingle roof system Exterior wall insulation, cement board siding and stone veneer Transaction and insulated window assembles Flooring, wall and ceiling finishes Hollow metal doors and frames Mechanical heating and ventilation for the toiler rooms Heating for the Storage Room Electrical, power, lighting and data Plumbing, sanitary piping, domestic water, toilets, urinals, sinks, service sink, and related fixtures and accessories. Site work includes mobilization, clearing, excavation, building pad preparation, site concrete paving, modification to the existing fence and utility tie-ins. Included in the scope of the project is all necessary mobilization, staging, protection, excavation, trenching, backfill, clearing, concrete footings and foundations, framing, materials, finishes, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, paving, landscaping, and accessories as indicated on the project drawings, within the project manual as well as required for the performance to achieve the indicated project deliverables for a complete installation. Base Bid and Alternates There is a base bid and two add alternates. The County requires all bidders to provide pricing for the base bid and all bidders are required to provide pricing for the stated alternate bids. Add One: Provide and Install Food Service Equipment Work will commence within Ten (10) Calendar Days after receipt of written "Notice to Proceed" and be substantially completed in accordance with the Contract Documents and Contractor's Construction Schedule for substantial completion of the entire project (including a Certificate of Occupancy/Acceptance for the scope of project) within 135 calendar days of the issuance of the Notice to Proceed by the Owner. All time limits stated in the Contract are of the essence. The Contractor shall coordinate the installation activities with the continued operations of the Park facility. Deadline for All Questions: October 8, 2020 E-mail questions to: imaldonado@mercercounty.org Questions Submitted After the Deadline Shall Have No Bearing on the Project Addenda Issued: October 9, 2020 New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act and Public Works Contractor Registration Act Bidders shall comply and adhere to all requirements of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act and Public Works Contractor Registration Act. The County of Mercer may terminate work if workers are paid less than prevailing wage.
