The work of this Contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to perform trenchless rehabilitation of existing sewers and manholes. The work includes approximately 6,000 linear feet of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining of 8-inch to 15-inch sewer, cured-in-place spot repairs (CIPSR) for two pipe sections, rehabilitation of 12 manholes, bypass pumping, and all miscellaneous work and cleanup required to complete the work. CIPP lining shall include television inspection, reopening service connections and testing and sealing of the first two joints of each service connection. The Contract Time shall be 120 Calendar Days commencing twenty days following the Effective Date of the Agreement Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of ninety days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those tradespeople who may be employed for the proposed work under this Contract. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as last revised. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be in its best interest.
