Site work and renovation of a civil project in Teague, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Demolition of the existing Jefferson Street Lift Station and construction of a new fiberglass reinforced lift station wetwell, relocation of pumps, control panel and equipment. Installation of approximately 60 linear feet of piping associated with lift station construction. Construction of approximately 1,950 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer pipe, manholes, service reconnections, pavement repair, and associated appurtenances. Construction will take place in a utility easement between Adams Street and South Street from Cemetery Road to Booker T. Washington Street. Bidders shall submit a bid bond by an acceptable surety in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid issued. A certified check or bank draft payable to the locality or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payments Bonds each in the amount of 100% of the contract price from an approved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as Surety and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding certificates of authority from the Secretary of Treasury of the United States, or other Surety or Sureties acceptable to the Owner. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. The work to be performed under this contract shall commence within the time stipulated by the City in the Notice to Proceed, and shall be fully completed within 60 calendar days thereafter. Since the actual damages for any delay in completion of the work under this contract are impossible to determine, the Contractor and his Sureties shall be liable for and shall pay to the City the sum of five hundred Dollars ($500.00) as fixed, agreed and liquidated damages for each calendar day of delay from the above stipulated time for completion. The Board of Aldermen of the City of Teague reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive formalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City for a period of 90 days or until a contract is awarded, whichever occurs first, from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
